Something missing? It's not what you think

Something is missing image - True Vine Productions
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalms 63:1
(I saw this from the "Daily Bible verse" app on facebook)

We have been designed and created to need and want God.

As anyone you know who was once without God, even you may have gone through a phase without God, and I believe you remember that feeling of something lacking.

That feeling, need, desire can only be filled by Jesus Christ, no one else and nothing else can fill that place.
People have tried to fill this yearning by dedicating themselves to their jobs and working their hairs gray... some succeed and are successful but still not satisfied.
Others try to find satisfaction for what is missing in a relationship only to eventually feel betrayed, hurt and back to the emptiness again.
I could go on and on but you get the picture. Most of my examples above should only apply to unbelievers (those without Jesus Christ - Not saved) but I've seen believers who are in the same situation.

So what's the reason for this feeling?
It's not necessarily because you are not close to God, there just is more of God available than you have and God is trying to get you to draw closer to Him so He draws closer to you as well.

John 12:32
But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.
... that's why there's that feeling that you and I have gotten before... as promised, Jesus is drawing you (as well as billions of others) to Himself, therefore drawing them to God.

When will that feeling go away?
I don't know, but here's something to do about it.
Read your Bible more, pray more, enjoy God's presence more(meditating and enjoying music worshiping God), think about God more and think less about things that bother you.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13)
Some translations read this verse as: If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

That's just it. Commit yourself more to God with all your heart and you'll find Him that empty space that needs filling will be filled.... like a missing piece replaced in a Jigsaw puzzle :)

Have a beautiful blessed day.
